While every person is unique and every situation is different, over the years we have found that some questions pop up time and time again. We have compiled  a few below and hope that they prove to be helpful! As always, do not hesitate to reach out to us for your FREE no-obligation consultation.

A: Whether you come to us with land or without, we can help! Many times we have worked with our clients, alongside their agent or our own, to find the perfect lot. Needless to say, we cannot begin to draw plans until you have land to build on but we will happily be part of the process and assure that you have the ideal homesite. As your home builder, we are your partner from start to finish!
A: Absolutely. We’ll gladly put you in touch with one of our preferred lenders, who can discuss the various options and loans available for new construction.
A: That is one of the questions we get the most and it is the most difficult to answer because of all the variables. It all depends on the size and style of the home, as well as the materials and chosen finishes.  Once we get an idea of what you are looking for, we provide a full, turnkey estimate with NO HIDDEN COSTS before you sign a contract.
A: Yes! We are able to use your existing architectural plans to build the home of your dreams. If the plans are outdated,or no longer meet your needs and wants, we tweak them together until they are perfect for your present-day, and future, life.
A: Absolutely not. We are more than happy to have an open conversation with you about your goals and desires without any obligation from you to commit to building. At Zander Homes, our doors are always open!
A: This is another question that has many variables such as scope of work, weather conditions, lot difficulty, etc. but generally-speaking, from ground-breaking to move-in, it will take about 6-8 months to complete your home. You can rest assured that we will always keep you posted on all progress.
A: Yes, absolutely! For some, this is the most exciting part of the process and have concrete ideas of what they like; while others need more assistance. Regardless of where you are on the spectrum, our design team will help guide you on any and all selections from kitchen cabinets to tile design and beyond!
A: Yes, you can. While we work out all the details prior to start of construction, sometimes clients want to add and upgrade features or modify fixtures. That is totally OK. We do not limit you to a number of change orders as other builders may.
A: Zander Homes offers the best new home warranty in the industry consisting of a 1 year builder’s warranty on all finishes and equipment and a 10 year structural warranty. Additionally, we transfer all equipment warranties to you!
A: You bet! Generally speaking, a Zander Custom Home is more energy efficient than any other home on the market simply because of the way we build. Additionally, we can incorporate eco-friendly elements such as solar systems, passive solar engineering, water re-circulation systems, geothermal systems, etc.
A: Yes, we can definitely help with “salvage” jobs—and have done so in the past. As well, we have had calls from people who had to fire their current builder and asked if we can finish the job. We are more than happy to accommodate in these situations, but a homeowner in this unfortunate situation must be prepared for the extra expense of us picking up where another builder left off. That’s why it’s important to pick a builder you trust from the beginning.
A: We build and remodel throughout a number of counties including Baltimore, Howard, Anne Arundel, Harford, Carroll and parts of Montgomery and Prince George’s County.
A: We are excited that you chose Zander Homes and look forward to building your dream home! Once you have the land, financing and plans ready, we enter into an agreement and begin construction.
